DATE: 1991-2007 _______________________________________________ VISIT: Inside Conditioned - Outside _______________________________________________ MORE DETAILS: The Burgo Project is an office building set in a place where the Boavista Avenue loses the configuration of a street, in the traditional meaning of the term, and becomes discontinuous and somewhat uncharacterized.
The project, from the early nineties, had a complex, difficult and lasting journey, materializing itself into an unusual work, of elevated tectonic and visual quality.
The solution consists of a platform with two volumes with different scales: a low building that is closer to the scale of the surroundings and a tower building pushed back from the avenue.
These two volumes form a square where an enormous sculpture by Ângelo de Sousa was placed. _______________________________________________
