The re-qualification that took place connected the City Park with the waterfront, and so, offering the people of the city a series of public leisure spaces (of elevated quality) along various kilometers. The “transparent building” was the most visible and polemic element of the proposal, as it was conceived without a program that justified it. Only in 2007, with an intervention by architect Carlos Prata, did the building come to offer a series of valences, namely in the catering industry. _______________________________________________
