Domingos, in Vila Real’s city centre, was rehabilitated and re-adapted into a Music Conservatory. To intervene in architectural structures with historical value always constitutes an enormous challenge, demanding an acute critical analysis and consistent technical capacity. The proposed volume integrates into the existing building in a natural manner. New and old dialogue harmoniously. The baroque façade facing the avenue was restored, and is now only penetrable by an arch that leads the visitor to the interior of the facility. _______________________________________________
